After completing her academic studies at the University of Nantes (postgraduate degree in Private Law) and at Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas University (IEJ), Anne-Gaëlle Berthomé began her career as a legal counsel within the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs (AEFE), and subsequently in several law firms as part of her qualification process. During this time, she developed a strong interest in employment law, particularly in pre-litigation and litigation matters.
She joined Cornet Vincent Ségurel in December 2004 as a trainee lawyer within Laurence Tardivel’s team. She returned in 2005 as a legal counsel and, after being admitted to the Bar in January 2006, as a lawyer.
Anne-Gaëlle Berthomé focuses her practice on supporting companies. She advises and represents clients in both advisory and litigation matters, handling a wide range of cross-disciplinary issues in close collaboration with the firm’s various departments (corporate, commercial, criminal law, etc.).
She has developed particular expertise in employment litigation (individual and collective), occupational health and safety, social security law (workplace accidents and occupational diseases, inexcusable fault, URSSAF matters), and new forms of employment (such as umbrella companies). Across France, she supports business leaders and HR departments in their dealings with employees, staff representatives, occupational health services, social security bodies, URSSAF, as well as regional labor authorities and labor inspectorates, and represents them before civil, labor, and administrative courts.
She is regularly involved in matters relating to harassment and discrimination, as well as in internal investigations, an area that has seen significant growth driven by societal, legislative, and case law developments.
Since 2020, Anne-Gaëlle Berthomé has been a Director.
