We represent public employers by providing advice and representation in connection with disputes and litigation in respect of all aspects of managing their permanent staff, trainees, or contractual employees.
We help and advise our clients on collective problems involving public employees (changes in status, health and safety, employee representation bodies, union rights, etc.), but also in monitoring and following up individual situations of their agents (recruitment, management of administrative positions and careers, compensation, discipline, ethics and professional responsibility, protection of civil servants in their dealing with the public, etc.).
We also design and implement operational solutions to resolve employee-management problems arising in connection with reorganization of management approaches for public services or transfers of responsibilities (secondment, availability, transfers of employment).
Our involvement includes developing relationships with other public actors (retirement fund for employees of local governments, supplemental retirement fund for contractual public employees, human resources management centres, etc.).
Our team works closely with lawyers from our employment law department to have a complete understanding of the intersection of labour and public employment law.
Each lawyer in this area regularly publishes articles on developments in case law and regulations and speaks at training courses and seminars.
