This company, based in the Oise region of France, has developed the very first process capable of collecting and decontaminating cigarette butts in an environmentally-friendly way, without the use of water or toxic solvents, in order to recycle the material. The company is opening up its capital for the first time, with Rives Croissance, a subsidiary of Banque Populaire Rives de Paris, taking a minority stake.
A team comprising partner Benjamin Chevalier and lawyer Marie Amourelle from Cornet Vincent Ségurel advised the founders of TchaoMégot on their fundraising campaign.
Since 2020, TchaoMégot has been working to recycle cigarette butts ecologically and locally. It now has 17 employees and is growing fast. The depollution process is REACH-certified, ensuring the safety of products on the recycling market. The company, based in Hauts-de-France, contributes to the circular economy by preventing soil and groundwater pollution. The Grenntech Innovation label, acquired in 2021, guarantees the performance of their methods and ensures a recycling solution in line with sustainable development.
