Economic organization of agriculture

This organization is characterised by a grouping of economic interests in various structures.

Agricultural cooperation has thus developed over a long period of time.

We advise major players in the world of agricultural cooperatives and business areas that are in active reorganization, on changes in their structures, in particular in the event of groupings of cooperatives, acquisition of various lines of business, organization of joint subsidiaries, etc.

Cornet Vincent Ségurel also represents these clients in respect of all their disputes and litigation: company law disputes, commercial disputes, civil disputes and agrarian law disputes.

At the same time, there is a need to organise distribution channels for agricultural products as well as for structuring the marketing and supply of agricultural products. Thus, organizations of producers and inter-professional organizations have emerged. Such organizations make possible the development of a contractual framework for agriculture.

We regularly work with producer organizations, in particular in contractual matters in the framework of the sector, as well as in dispute resolution and litigation.

Agricultural production, in particular through allocation of rights to produce having an impact on the common agricultural policy, is strongly regulated. This organization has given birth to a complex legal environment in which we also represent our clients.

Finally, since this area of activity has become aware of the interest in highlighting the value of such products, we also provide advice in connection with the valuation of agricultural products, especially in connection with searches for, or challenges to, origin names (“appellations d'origine”).
