Cornet Vincent Ségurel welcomes two new partners, Christophe Bourdel and Emmanuelle Cardon - de La Hosseraye, and their team of 6 professionals, comprising a managing lawyer, 4 lawyers and an assistant. They bring dual expertise in insurance law and environmental law, complementing the firm's existing skills.

Christophe Bourdel and Emmanuelle Cardon - de La Hosseraye were previously partners at Hérald Avocats, where they had practised since 1987 and 2004 respectively. They join Cornet Vincent Ségurel in the Paris office as partners.

They bring to the firm their expertise in insurance law, with a particular focus on personal insurance, covering life insurance, pensions and provident schemes.

Christophe Bourdel and Emmanuelle Cardon - de La Hosseraye and three of their associates advise a client base of major French and international insurance companies, as well as mutual insurers, on both advisory and litigation and pre-litigation matters. They also work alongside the Corporate teams on insurance audits as part of Mergers & Acquisitions operations.

The arrival of this new team will further strengthen Cornet Vincent Ségurel's Insurance Law department, which already comprises around ten people. The firm now has a large Insurance department with 360-degree expertise covering Property and Casualty Insurance, Construction Insurance, Product Liability Insurance and Personal Insurance.

Christophe Bourdel also brings his expertise in environmental law, with a team comprising a managing lawyer and a lawyer. They deal with civil law issues relating to the redevelopment of industrial sites and brownfield sites, including pollution management, site remediation and legal appraisals, as well as new energy sources. They also represent their clients in disputes relating to land sales. Christophe Bourdel and his team are also involved in environmental law audits. His arrival complements the environmental expertise in public law already present at Cornet Vincent Ségurel.

"We are delighted to be joining Cornet Vincent Ségurel and to be able to contribute to the firm's dynamic development," comments Emmanuelle Cardon - de La Hosseraye.

"With a solid governance model and a history spanning more than 50 years, Cornet Vincent Ségurel combines an assertive development strategy, quality management and a unique positioning with offices in six major cities and local teams that are among the best in business law in each city.

"Christophe Bourdel adds: "We bring skills that fit in perfectly with the firm's existing expertise. "For our part, we will be able to draw on teams of talented lawyers to provide the best possible support for our clients' projects throughout France.

Alexandre Cornet, partner and member of Cornet Vincent Ségurel's Management Committee, also commented on this arrival: "We have a controlled growth model based on a simple principle: integrate new partners who will enrich our expertise in a complementary way, but who will also be in tune with the human values that are dear to the firm. So we're delighted to welcome Emmanuelle and Christophe, who ticked all the boxes to join us on our collective adventure".
