Cornet Vincent Ségurel assists the Alliance Automotive group in the sale of its business as franchisor of the Étape Auto network to Point S

Alliance Automotive Group, Europe’s leading independent distributor of parts and supplies for light vehicles, vans and HGVs, recently transferred its Étape Auto franchise network to the Point S group.

Tyre specialist Point S is expanding its network of local car centres by acquiring 100% of the Etape Auto franchise network from Alliance Automotive Group.

Founded in 1989, the Etape Auto network of local car centres has 49 outlets located in communities with populations ranging from 5,000 to 30,000. The aim of the transition from Etape Auto to Point S is to retain all the franchised sites, with an individual assessment for their integration into the Point S network.

Following this operation, Alliance Automotive Group intends to concentrate on its core business: the independent distribution of parts and supplies for light vehicles, vans and HGVs.

With this acquisition, Point S confirms its dynamic external growth strategy and strengthens its position as sector leader with a denser territorial coverage, extended to strategic medium-sized towns not previously covered, and an enhanced range of specialised services. Sales at Étape Auto, estimated at €30 million, will be added to the €600 million generated by Point S.

The law firm Cornet Vincent Ségurel assisted Alliance Automotive Group with the legal structuring of the sale of its business.
