Finaxiome Case: The law firm Cornet Vincent Segurel, representing a former Finaxiome executive, is seeking his acquittal

The trial in the Finaxiome case—involving a former Amiens-based real estate development company that had been granted tax exemptions—took place from July 6 to 10, 2026, before the Amiens Criminal Court. Four former executives of the group were charged with fraud and the premature collection of funds.

Before the court, the defense argued that the evidence in the case did not support the charges brought against them. In particular, it pointed out that the delivery deadlines announced during the marketing phase were realistic, based on technical planning, and consistent with standard real estate development practices.

It also emphasized that the irregularities identified in certain calls for funds remained marginal in light of the tens of thousands of calls for funds issued by the group and did not establish the existence of a fraudulent scheme.

Finally, the defense reiterated that all real estate projects had been completed and that the difficulties faced by the group were part of the context of the 2008–2009 real estate crisis, not the result of an intent to deceive buyers.

The court adjourned its decision until November 17, 2026.
