Ardian invests in My Pie, a French company specialising in hot snacks

Published on 14 february 2024

Ardian, the world leader in private equity, is making a strategic investment in My Pie, the leading player in the supermarket hot snack market.

Ardian has joined forces with the founders of My Pie to support them as the company continues to grow. Ardian Growth is acquiring a minority stake in the Mayenne-based company, while Mayenne entrepreneur Jean-Rémy Cousin and artistic director Tom Chegaray, both minority shareholders, are leaving the capital as part of the deal.

Founded in 2015 by Adrien Goud and Sébastien Rico, MY Pie specialises in the manufacture and sale of ready-made meals such as quiches, pizzas, pies and pasta, using fresh ingredients. It mainly supplies the mass retail sector, with an innovative concept of in-store hot display cases. The company has enjoyed resounding success, with 90% growth in sales over the past 3 years.

Ardian's acquisition of a stake in My Pie opens up new prospects for the company, enabling it to embark on a new phase in its development, focusing in particular on international markets where there is currently no structured competition.

The transaction is financed by debt arranged by Hélia Conseil and raised from Caisse D'epargne Bretagne Pays De Loire, Banque Populaire Grand Ouest, CIC Ouest, Arkéa Banque Entreprises et Institutionnels and LCL.

A Cornet Vincent Ségurel team led by André Watbot, partner, and comprising Marion Nicolas and Robin Petit, attorneys and Elise Le Roux, legal counsel, worked alongside the lenders to finance this transaction.
