What were the highlights of your sports season this year? Tournaments, competitions, and notable results.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This entire year has been a real highlight. After not being selected for the Paris Olympics, I spent a lot of time reflecting on the future of my career. Should I continue or not? In the end, I decided to give myself a year to think it over. And against all odds, it turned out to be my best season<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I rediscovered genuine joy in practicing fencing, and it showed in my performances. I reached my highest world ranking (13th) just before the World Championships, which will take place this summer in Georgia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But if there\u2019s one moment I particularly remember, it\u2019s my third-place finish at the first World Cup of the season. I hadn\u2019t stood on an individual podium since 2018. It was a powerful moment, both emotional for me and for my teammates, who understand the challenges I\u2019ve faced over the past few years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How have you managed to balance the demands of being a high-level athlete with your internship at our law firm?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I tried to compartmentalize my days as much as possible and be extremely organized. When I was at the firm, I was fully there, both physically and mentally. It was the same with fencing. I won\u2019t lie: these last six months have been the most intense of my life!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was determined to fully commit to the firm that trusted me, while continuing to perform in competitions. Every time I came back to the office, the classic question \u2018So, did you win?\u2019 motivated me even more. Although I haven\u2019t won yet (but it will happen!), I held on despite the fatigue, largely thanks to the genuine support I received<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What do you take away from these six months spent with us? How has this experience enriched your professional or personal journey?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Pure happiness, quite simply. Even in moments of doubt or fatigue, I went home feeling deeply happy doing what I was doing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was quite anxious about entering the \u2018real world.\u2019 I doubted my skills, both professional and interpersonal. I had passed the CRFPA exam, but sometimes felt it was just luck. My internship at Cornet Vincent S\u00e9gurel, alongside Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Puget, Aur\u00e9lie Vucher-Bondet, and the entire team, made me feel like I truly belonged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I didn\u2019t expect to love this profession so much, nor even enjoy staying in an office! Yet, I absolutely loved it. I discovered another side of myself. This internship gave me something precious: confidence. And that, in my opinion, is the greatest gift Cornet Vincent S\u00e9gurel could offer me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In your opinion, are there any similarities between the discipline of fencing and the profession of a lawyer?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Yes, definitely. Both require great discipline, organization, and precision. A single mistake can cost you a match\u2026 or a lawsuit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But beyond the demands, I believe that enjoyment is essential in both. They are intense, demanding, and stressful activities. Without pleasure, it becomes difficult to stay focused, perform well, and above all, to sustain over time<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are your plans or ambitions moving forward, both in your sports career and professional life?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s THE question that accompanied me throughout the internship. Even though I had one of my best sports seasons, I\u2019m not sure I can keep up this pace. It\u2019s exhausting\u2014both physically and mentally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hardest part is that this extraordinary year is forcing me to make a choice. My internship has been so rewarding, my season so great\u2026 that I\u2019d like to keep doing it all. But there are only 24 hours in a day!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, I\u2019m still in a phase of reflection. Quitting high-level sport breaks my heart, but not practicing as a lawyer right away doesn\u2019t suit me either. I\u2019m looking for a solution that would allow me to continue performing in fencing, to practice law (even if only part-time), and to preserve my health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m giving myself until the CAPA results to make a decision. In the meantime, I\u2019ll focus on the World Championships and, why not\u2026 finish this exceptional year on a high note.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
